We Combine Science
As an eco-conscious brand we felt a responsibility towards reducing the environmental and social impact of perfume production. We’ve consciously created our formulas to be non-toxic, free of allergens and sustainable.
Fragrance sensitivity is at the heart of our research when developing a new scent. To us, 'natural' doesn't necessarily mean 'safe', which is why we focused our fragrances that take the best of both science and nature to create scents that work in harmony with your skin.
We Are Committed
To Your Health
We stay clear of all-natural formulas. Many brands will tell you that natural ingredients are better for you.
Well, we actually disagree.
We do formulate with natural ingredients where they are the best option, but we look to science to help us choose bioidenticals where they are more sustainable and synthetics where they are less irritating or less harmful to the body.
By using synthetic ingredients that give the same olfactory experience you love, we minimise the dangerous effects on your skin.
We are 100% non-toxic,
unlike almost every
other perfume out there.
Most so-called ‘luxury’ fragrances contain phthalates – chemicals used to artificially lengthen the life of a scent and which can interfere with hormone levels – along with irritants, synthetic dyes, alarming preservatives and unnecessary plasticisers.
Not us. We are EWG approved. The EWG Skin Deep database has rated each ingredient throughout our fragrance collection as ‘low’ on their toxicity scale, meaning none of them are known to be harmful.
Natural ingredients have been proven to cause hypersensitivity and allergic reactions in some people. Additionally, just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s possible to use an ingredient at volume and remain sustainable: as an example, the water footprint of just one rose is estimated to be up to 13 litres. That’s’ why we thoroughly consider the mix we use of botanicals and synthetics.
We are always intentional when choosing our ingredients.
We are 100% vegan
We do not use animal products or by-products (such as musks, nitromusks or ambergris) or use animal testing. We are PETA certified, and cruelty free across our whole supply chain.
"[Lost In The Forest] is spiked with aromatic black pepper on a background of warm amber; not unlike a cosy stay in a luxurious cabin in the woods."

I came across Origin initially on Instagram and got excited to try it. I ordered the sample and Loved it after so many compliments and absolutely not even sensing it on myself. I then ordered the set of samples to try them all. Cedar Noir was the winner for me. They are all gorgeous scents but this one had me reaching for it all the time. I now have both Origin and Cedar Noir in 50ml and love them. Origin for daytime and Cedar Noir for evenings.
I also want to compliment the brand for their customer experience approach. I live in Canada and they don’t ship here but the owner herself reached out to me and helped me figure out a way to get the deliveries. At one time she herself personally mailed it to me incurring the cost. I just cannot describe my gratitude 😘

I first discovered Medeau last year, and fell in love with Origin. I was so happy when 3 more scents were released. I decided to try Cedar Noir. I am extremely fussy when it comes to fragrance as it has to tick a lot of boxes. I was not disappointed with this one. I love how this scent customises itself with your pheromones. To me Cedar Noir is walking through a forest smelling all the wonders of nature, the pine trees and earthy tones and softness with a little sweetness (you may smell
something different to me) is what drew me to this scent. On me, it is light and I was worried that it would not linger on my skin but thankfully it is one I can smell, I make sure to spray it on my pulse points so that I can definitely fill the noses of people I walk past lol. I really like that the ingredients are non-toxic, this is extremely important to me when buying perfumes. This is my favourite one! Thank you, medeau. Next to try is Safara.Medeau Fragrances2 years agoHi Leah, Thank you so much for your review. We are delighted you love Cedar Noir! It's one of our favourites too.
